Dolly Wink Replica! and Why I Think Neither is Worth Buying

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna talk about Dolly Wink Eyebrow Mascara. Originally I called this post "Dolly Wink Dupe", hence you will see the word dupe in most, if not all, of the photos. But it was pointed out to me that "dupe" means that a different brand is copying another product. However, this post is about copying a product and trying to make it look exactly the same as the original. Thus, whenever you see the word "dupe", change it to "replica".

Anyway, I got the original one from Amazon Japan (here is a link to my haul post for that one), while the fake one was an omiyage from my cousin who got it from a facebook seller. So for this post I'll be showing you guys a comparison of the two. I'll also show you other Dolly Wink products that have fake versions. And while I'm at it, I'll also be reviewing the original one, which comes in the shade number 2 Mocha. Let me tell you now that I do NOT like this product and I won't be buying it again. Now unto the comparison!

Been a while! Today I'm gonna talk about my gyaru magazine collection because this month I had two new additions to it. I don't buy every single issue that comes up. I mainly get the ones that look interesting or have pretty covers! 

Mini guide on buying eyelashes on taobao

Hi there! Over the summer my friend Xiaokang went back to China for the holidays. If you read my post on how I bought stuff on Amazon Japan, you'd know that friends are very handy for buying things abroad. So basically I gave a list of links I wanted her to buy for me from Taobao. Then when she came back to Ireland she gave me the stuff and I paid her for them. Taobao is basically a Chinese eBay or Amazon but super cheap and has lots of variety. I mainly bought lashes, but also got these two:

Alright so in May I ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon Japan. Here's whats I gots..

Blonde gyaru: mini rant about Asian hair (>_<。)

Is it just me.
Is it just me.
But everytime I look in the mirror I'd think, "time for a new colour" or  "I need a bit of a trim". 
But when I finally decide to dye my hair or cut it, I look in the mirror and for some unknown reason, my hair looks nice. Styled on its own. Light hitting it at just the right angle to make the colour look nice.

Right so my natural hair colour is dark brown. It's been dyed since I was... 12 or maybe earlier. Right now it's ombre, with the tips being copper- fading into light brown. Copper is a bad bad colour. For Asians it's a sign that you've bleached your hair, and totally failed. Maybe not failed. But bleach + black or dark brown hair goes copper. And then you're supposed to put toner or dye it the right colour. Which I didn't do because my mom was all "oooooohhhh you're gonna damage your hair ><" and it kinda looked ok copper.. kinda..not really.. kinda.

So yeah. Why the sudden urge to change colour. Well I was going to buy hair extensions because my hair is as flat as my chest lol. Plus I had a bob last year, meaning it's still pretty short today. Problem is, it's incredibly hard to find hair extensions that do copper shades.

Sooooooo. It has to be dyed. I really really want Shiori Sega's hair!! Ash blonde is sooo nice.

I'm sure I'm going to need to dye my hair multiple times before I can reach this shade.

But then again, let's take a second to appreciate a few gyaru models, including Mana Honda and Tsubasa Masuwaka, who've pulled of a brassy blonde hair colour.

Not so bad right. Not until your roots start growing. So you think, go ombre, that should solve it. But you have to wait half a year or so to let it grow long enough to look ombre.

Gah.

Dolly Wink Eyebrow Mascara in 02 Mocha dupe! 

I tried the Dolly Wink eyebrow mascara. Man oh man was it shite. I'll probably do a review on that. So stay tuned.
